There's considerable discussion within Gn15 modelling ranks as to which small people you should use to populate your layout.

Be careful of Presier figures!

Not only as they expensive (I recently paid about $A14 for a driver for one of my critters), they can be brittle.

I snapped the right hand off this fella as soon as I got it home! Thank God for Liquid Nails . . .

Forgot to mention Jim "Gnifty" Favre, of the US . . . another evangelist for Gn15 modelling!

You can find his site at: http://hometown.aol.com/Gn15modeler/index.html

They are all on the Net!
Critters -- those tiny diesel and gas locomotives that infest 15-24-inch tramway "empires" -- are generally very small four-wheel affairs weighing as little as 1-3 tons . . . about the same as an average family car.

Carl is a whiz at coming up with tiny plans for big-sized critter lines! You'll find hundreds of layout suggestions within this site!
Having been interested in narrow-gauge tramways for years, I have now elected to model some of my fave themes in Gn15 scale.

"G" for G scale, "n" for narrow-gauge, and "15" representing 15 inches of air between the actual rails.

For those who have been bitten by narrow tramways, there are literally hundreds of examples, and just as many themes, to select from around the world.

You can venture from the cane fields of the tropics, to freezing Tundra conditions.
